Such services are performed at venues or sites where attendees are required to enter and exit such as sporting and cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, attractions as well as hospitality venues such as bars and clubs.

Mandatory Training (Unit Standards 27360, 27361 and 27364) is required for this role.

Duties
  • Screens entry to a place
  • Keeps order in a place
  • Removes any person from a place
  • Door or entry staff (including profilers and behavioural analysts)
  • Bag searching
  • Pitch/field protection
  • Concert barrier control
  • Corporate lounge or hospitality
  • To be clearly visible
  • To be vigilant
  • To respond quickly and correctly during a crisis
  • Observing and reporting
  • Getting help
  • Checking and monitoring rules and policies
  • Maintain order amongst people
  • Receiving guests
  • Offer safety warnings and tips
  • Performing other special duties
Role Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Must be able to work irregular hours (24 x 7 industry)
  • Must be confident and capable of working alone
  • Must have reasonable fitness
  • Must have a clean criminal record
  • Preferable to hold a NZ Drivers Licence
  • Must have good written and spoken English
  • Requirement to complete mandatory training requirements to obtain Certificate of Approval to work in industry (3-month window to complete)
